In Case You Missed It
Last week presenter was Sue Johannsen, Muscatine Community School District Teacher, on winning The Stanley Foundations Cathryn Miller Explorer Award. Sue had the opportunity to travel to the beautiful country of Iceland as part of winning the Cathryn Miller Explorer Award. Sue shared photographs and many interesting facts about Iceland. One of the highlights from her trip was visiting the Blue Lagoon which is a large mineral pool known for its relaxation and healing therapies. Iceland is also known for its usage of geothermal and other planet saving alternatives to fossil fuels.

- Sara Fitzer-Huston-Day of Caring was a huge success. Over 530 volunteers participated and completed 46 projects in Muscatine.
