Today's Program:   Judi Holdorf on the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine

 

In Case You Missed It

Last week's presenters were Charles Potter and Chris Steinbach on the November 4th Election.  Chris, Editor of the Muscatine Journal, said the newspaper had been busy this year covering all of the candidates' trips into the area and all of the editorials.  Chris said that the Journal makes every effort to not show favoritism to one candidate or party.  The Journal will be producing a morning paper on Wednesday, November 5th to report all of the results from Tuesday's elections. 

 

Charles Potter, News Director for KWPC, provided insight into his reporting style and the race up to today.  Charles said that like Chris he strives to never show favoritism to any candidate or party in his reports.  Charles will be providing live updates on Tuesday evening as the results unfold.

November 3rd Guests

  • Jake Adams, teacher at Muscatine High School, accompanied our student guests: Allison Fields, Amy Foor, Taylor Duncan, Noah Eichelberger, Drew Elgatian, Kayla Eversmeyer, Zana & Perparim.

November 3rd Club Announcements

·         November 17th Rotary will be meeting at the Salvation Army for our Noon meeting.

·         Mike Ruby, Membership Committee member, provided information on retention and the different demographics of members.  Mike encouraged all of us to be more active in Rotary. 

November 3rd Happy News

·         Tony Joseph is excited that the Phillies won the World Series and that he sold his house.

·         Ann Meeker is thrilled that the Illini beat Iowa.

·         Bill Trent made a contribution for those MHS students who parents work at Muscatine Foods Corporation.

·         Diana Gradert is happy that both Wilton Girls and Boys Cross Country teams qualified for state.  Diana's grandson and granddaughter will be competing.
