THIS WEEK'S PROGRAM
Two recipients of the Stanley Explorer Awards will provide information on their educational trips taken last summer. Rachelle Schneider, an ESL teacher at Madison Elementary School who visited Africa, and Kathy Haltmeyer, a special education teacher at MHS who studied in Italy.
LAST WEEK'S
Dave Moritz of Stanley Consultants gave us a preview of the Muscatine Boat Show "That Was Then, This is Now."
Dave is the lone ranger as far as organizing the project is concerned, but he has made some amazing headway. This will be the biggest boat show in the country in 2008 and should draw people from across the country to show their boats or see their friends' boats. Keep watching for details on this exciting event which could be a signature event for Muscatine.

March 24 Troy Dannen, Executive Director of the Iowa High School Girl's Athletic Union will provide an update on the role of the Union and an update on Girl's activities in the State of Iowa
March 31 Judy Jeffrey, Director of the Iowa Department of Education will provide an update on educational issues in the State of Iowa.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Melanie Alexander told the club membership that nomination forms are on the tables for Vocational Awareness Award, Citizen of the Year Award, and Robert L. Roach Award. If you have somebody in mind who is worthy of any of these awards, please submit your nomination.
Tom Williams had a triple play:
1. Go to the drug awareness forum at the High School.
2. Go to "Up With People" and
3. Vote early for the School Infrastructure Option Sales Tax.
HAPPY NEWS
Tom was pretty pleased about the River City Allstars Cheerleaders placing in state competition. He was also pretty happy about the Girls Bowling Team winning in State competition.
Tom Ward was happy about the Muscatine show choir (his daughter is in it) placing 4th in state competition.
Hoppi was pretty thrilled to be back from Guatemala. He went there with (among other people) Stephanie Martin - one of our student guests - and her father.
