Program: Dr. Manasi Nadkarni introduced Lea Wagner, Director of Clinical Operations for UnityPoint Health.  Lea provided an update on the name changes, the new location being added and generally addressing Health Care in an integrated format.  She said the " Point of Unity" is you...Centering care on the patients.  UnityPoint Health is located regionally and across multiple states.  Healthcare is moving towards elimination of the various silos so that Doctors, Hospitals, Nursing Homes and etc. share patient information and data.

A new clinic is being built at 3426 North Port Drive.  Space for patients and caregivers is minimal at the current clinic with space requirements now being about 2 times what currently exists.  Primary care has been noted as a community need particularly as the population ages and as we strive to keep patients out of the hospital and work on prevention of a lot of major health issues.
