Program: Mayor Dwayne Hopkins and Matthew Gordy introduced the vision/plan for developing a glass bandshell on the Muscatine Riverfront by the current basketball courts.  Nicknamed the Glass Armadillo Matt and Mayor Hopkins showed a powerpoint with Tom Bankhead and Matt's current drawings on such a project.  The bandshell could be used for many venues throughout the summer time and year.  The project is not intended to be paid for with tax dollars but will seek private funding.  The elegant paved plaza would have a grand stair entrance and ampitheatre like setting with shade trees surrounding the setting.  Both men were excited about the project and features.  They were hoping to catch Rotary's interest in the project and President Garvin hopes that the new member committee will come up with a first fundraising project for the Glass Bandshell!
