Mary Rose Peterschmidt will provide an update on the proposed "Zoo Garden" for Week Park. This is a pretty neat project that will help turn Weed Park into a major area attraction.
LAST WEEK'S
"Navigating the Digital Transition" by Sal LoBianco, Director, Generation and Telecommunications
, Muscatine Power and Water told us what is going to happen when the nation's television broadcasters switch to digital broadcasting. Sal explained how to get digital TV on your set at home. What the different types of digital televisions will be on the market. How to tell if your present TV will receive digital signals and how much it will cost to convert your present analog TV to receive digital signals. Want to buy a new TV for the digital switch? Sal had some charts and brochures to help you select the ideal size. He also had some material to explain the difference in signals. Curious about changes in the cable offerings from MPW? Sal explained the new packages and took questions about all kinds of issues related to cable.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Nomination forms are on the tables for Vocational Awareness Award, Citizen of the Year Award, and Robert L. Roach Award. If you have somebody in mind who is worthy of any of these awards, please submit your nomination.
Sharon Gibson-Ellis asked club members to complete one of the membership surveys which were on the tables.
Bill Housh is still in the hospital. He fell and broke his hip while sliding into the Holiday Inn for the meeting of March 3.
HAPPY NEWS
Harvey Allbee, Jr., was pretty happy about Iowa winning Big 10 wrestling. Illinois didn't do so well.
Sarah Fitzer-Huston was pretty happy about Drake making the championships of the Mississippi Valley conference.
Shirley Jean was pretty thrilled too.
Charley Lewis was agog that Dolly Parton made the centerfold of Rotary (you really SHOULD start reading this magazine!).
