Diana Gradert was happy for her granddaughter, Amy, placing 8th in the 400 hurdles at the track meet and also becoming president of the National Honor Society.
Long time community member, Betty Brewer, passed away recently, but her new store on Lake Park Blvd. opened on 5/24/10 and it would have made her happy.
Becky Furlong invited everyone to come to Mary's retirement party on 5/26 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Administration Building!

Mary read a card from Kerry Hawkins, MHS Senior Counselor, thanking Rotary on behalf herself and the seniors. She said they looked forward and appreciated the meetings and being recognized last week.
Sarah Lande reminded everyone of the Tuesday, June 1st, dedication of the bridge plaza for the bridge tribute project on biking trail at 11:00 a.m. Mary and the Mayor will both be speaking. Rotary was the lead contributor for the project giving $20,000.
The Youth Exchange committee will meet today after Rotary.
On June 4th from 4:30 to 6:30 there will be a Rotary get together at Wine Nutz. Please come! Mary also asked the YPNs to join us.

Muscatine Young Professional Network (YPN) Update by Nick Gow
Keith Porter introduced Nick Gow, current YPN president. Nick thanked Rotary for including the YPNs in this meeting and other meetings during the year. He introduced incoming chair, Brenda Mohr. Nick talked about all the successful YPN events they have had this year.
