In Case You Missed It

Our presentation on Monday was given by Zana on her time in Muscatine.  As you may know, Zana is a Rotary exchange student from Gjakova, Kosovo.  The population of Kosovo is around 2.2 million people.  Zana had three host families while with us, Pete & Kristy Korpi, Keith & Deb Porter, and Dan & Maggie Gray.  While in Muscatine Zana has been very busy with lots of fun activities like soccer, choir, and youth exchange meetings.  Zana said that she experienced Homecoming and Prom which are unlike anything in Kosovo.  She had a very good time in Muscatine and thanked Rotary and her host families for welcoming her to our community.  After the program Marilyn Smith presented Zana a gift from our club.  Host families were presented with a plaque for their support of Zana.

Amy and Rebecca, MHS Interact Students updated us on some of the activities that they have participated in the last year.  Activities included: highway clean up, ringing Salvation Army bells, Halloween at the Y, bake sale for families in need, Operation Christmas Child, yard clean up, talent show, Relay for Life, and much more.
