Our meetings in July will be held at the Clarion Hotel reception/lobby area. In August we will relocate to our new meeting location at the Wesley Family LifeCenter in downtown Muscatine!!

Rotary News: We will move to the Wesley Family Life Center in downtown Muscatine. Kelly invited Rotarians to join in the fun at the West Liberty Fair by being in the parade on Sunday, July 14, 2013...wear your Rotary shirt!! We also have the opportunity to sign up to drive the golf cart around the West Liberty Fair serving as chauffers!!

Happy News: Paul Kraushaar is happy to receive his Orthopedic Specialist degree and he is also happy to see Charlie Lewis alive...not the one in the obituary.  Bob Allbee is happy that the students have arrived in China and are seeing the country, including the Great Wall!! Ron Yohe is happy to carry on his father's sermon tradition and has included his own son in the series. Norm Smith is happy that he and Marilyn have been married for 62 years with 4 children and 9 grandchildren.  Dave and Jeanne Stanley have been married for 68 years and will celebrate this week with family.  Melanie Alexander reminded us of the Art Center Ice Cream Social and dedication of the E. Brad Burns Performing Park on Sunday, June 30, 2013.

Rich Dwyer gave an overview of the Honorary Paul Harris and Paul Harris Awards, prior to presenting Charlie Lewis with an Honorary Paul Harris recognition. His wife, Norma, daughter Pam and son in law Steve, along with good friend Max Churchill were present with Charlie.  Thank YOU, Charlie!!

Rotary Program:  Claudia Robinson and Erin Williams were present and gave a brief program on Gilda's Club. The cancer support center is named after Gilda Radner.  The program is coming to Muscatine and will be available on Thursdays. They are looking for a permanent house type location. The program is free of charge and provides individual and family support services. When individuals and families are supported there are 23% fewer insurance claims.   A workshop will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 with the topic of Cancer in the Workplace.. what can you as the employer do?  Interested persons can contact Gilda's Club at 1-877-926-7304 or online at www.gildasclubqc.org.
