President Tom Ward shared with the club and guests information on the Rotary Club Scholarships.  We give 4 MHS Seniors $1000 each to attend MCC or another college of choice.  This year's 3.0 Senior Recognition Luncheon will be held on May 9, 2011 at the Clarion Hotel (formerly the Holiday Inn).

Happy News: Judi Holdorf provided members with tax letters for Rotary contributions this past year.  See Caren and Brooke for copies remaining.
 
Marilyn Smith lauded Jeremy for his recognition and selection to the District Youth Exchange Performance Team to be showcased at the International Rotary Convention in New Orleans. 

Paul Kraushaar experienced being a Grandfather for the first time and shared his joy!!
Captain Rick Rhea of the Salvation Army explained two upcoming fundraisers we don't want to miss:  Muscatine Heartland Harmony Chorus will serenade your love on Valentine's Day for $35.  Call 263-8272 to sign up.  Additionally, the Men and Women's Club will host a Spagetti Dinner on February 12th from 5:30-7:00 P.M. at the Salvation Army Building.
Tim Nelson proudly told of son T.J.'s promotion to Captain.  He is a pilot.
Keith Porter lauded the MHS Show Choir for their outstanding performances this past weekend, Encore scoring 2 and RC Rhythm rating a 1.  Go Muskies!! 
Norm and Marilyn Smith's new greatgrandbaby boy's name is Stone Hezekiah Walker... not as written and reported last week.  You go Stone!!

Program: Gayle Roberts, President of Stanley Consultants gave a fabulous historical overview of the company starting in 1913 and concluding with projects being worked on today around the world.  She mentioned that a book is in the process of being commissioned to celebrate the firm's 100 Anniversary.   Her timeline powerpoint provided the club and members with a tremendous overview of the past 98 years including the visionary leadership of Charles Young, Max Stanley, Dick Stanley, Gregs Thomopulos and now Gayle since 2007.  She proudly shared the many awards presented to this outstanding international engineering consulting firm located right here in Muscatine. 

Mary's Commitments
