President Tom Ward shared in his Rotary Informational Moment the differences in Paul Harris Fellow awards. Our club gives Honorary Paul Harris Awards to persons who make outstanding contributions to our club or community, we each contribute $1000 to become Sustaining Paul Harris Fellows... $100 contributions over 10 years.

YOUR Rotary Club will pay for your registration to our April 29th Conference in Ankeny. See Tom Ward or Mike Ruby for details and options for rides. Learn about District 6000 Initiatives and meet fellow Rotarians. The International Convention is in New Orleans from May 21-25th.

Holly Peterson has transferred to our club... she has come home again. People are her passion and she is working at getting her business in coaching and counseling established here.

Happy News: Barb Christensen was proud to say that the Air Force Band Concert was great and she was also appreciative of the over 1000 persons who attended the Mosaic III exhibit opening on Sunday. She thanked the Journal for the great pictures and story on the front page. Mike Hartman told us that the Muskie Speech and Debate Team had 6 persons participating in the All State Competition. Dawn Sturms reminded us of the 9th Annual Domestic Violence Fundraiser at Geneva. She has tickets with her. Karen Diercks, proud Grandma told aobut her grandson winning the Science Fair. Brian Chapman thanked us for contributions to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowlathon....$284 to be given to the program at the Y. And Jeremy, sadly told us he has left the Dwyer's and has moved to the Graettingers. He also told us tomorrow is his birthday and his mother will be happy because he will probably be the only 18 year old Belgian Boy who is not drunk on his 18th birthday. Happy Birthday Jeremy and good luck with your new family!! You will love them too!!

Program: Rhonda Busch, Vice President of Pearl City Outreach, told us about the Mighty X Women a program being established in Muscatine to help post prison women survive in the community. The program has a success rate of 95%. The program model's founder Jonathan Byrd has helped over 200 exoffenders reenter their communities.

Pearl City Outreach this past year had over 1000 adults at their Christmas Party for members of families with an individual who is in jail. Peal City Outreach intends to provide counseling and living quarters for participating women. The program's intent is to : restore them, provide coping skills, deal with personal grief,be renewed spiritually, help them identify their true enemies and work through their guilt and shame to restore them to wholeness.

An Open House will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 to formally introduce the program to the community. The site of the Open House will be the Muscatine Center for NonProfits on 2nd street.
