Rotary News: Keith reminded us that Rotary Night at the Ball park is May 8th. He also mentioned the District 6000 Rotary Conference on May 2 and 3rd. Interested persons should see Keith or Tony Joseph.

Happy News: Keith Porter enjoyed Jesus Christ Superstar with Jessica Wittman playing a great role.  Chuck Moody started his 40 year at Carver Pump on March 4th and retired on March 31st. Steve Jameson saw his niece receive her black belt and also was appreciative that the 10 inch snow stopped. Karen Diercks also enjoyed Jesus Christ Superstar and is preparing for Liz Van Ingen's booksigning on April 13th at the Flower Gallery. Diana Gradert was happy to go to Florida and now to be back in Mucatine.

Rotary Program: David Lane, Jeremiah Whitehall, Brooklyn Reid and Travis Awe shared their work on the MCC play "The Lord of the Underworld Home for Unwed Mothers"  David mentioned the MCC Concert the Monday after Easter at MCC at 7:00 P.M.  Likewise the play "Lord of the Underworld Home for Unwed Mothers" is also playing again this coming weekend.  The play was written by a 26 year old young playwright as her Masters Thesis and has won the Mark Twain Award. David provided an overview of the play and described the set, characters and the challenges of 4 actors portraying several characters, as well as, one person moving and changing the set while the actors are relaying the story.  Set in the 1960's a young woman gives up her baby and then 20 some years later the baby now an adult carries on the story.  Jeremiah, Brooklyn and Travis all told about their experiences and learning their roles for several characters, as well as, meeting and performing in front of the author.
