Program for Today: Jeremy tells about his Rotary Year!!

Guests for April 4, 2011: Bob Danner, Jeff Heid, Miguel Rangel, Katie Manley, Ana Arzata, Casey Albee, Karyn Klimes, Ethan Le Beau, Nick Bevier Kimi Adasme, Danielle Cook, Jesse Krueger, Staci Eversmeyer, Jeremy Heimisch and Jake Adams.

President Tom Ward discussed stewardship to the Rotary Foundation. Tom applauds the Foundation for their thorough scrutiny of the paperwork that concludes the receipt of grants and applications. He spent a bit of time completing the paperwork for the Bridge Tribute Project grant final report.

Tom also called Jeremy to the podium to present a Birthday Card and Gift Certificate from the club!! Happy 18 Jeremy!!

Happy News: Grandpa Harvey Albee proudly told that granddaughter Casey is at the meeting and will play today, as well as, recently winning a Literacy Award. Caren Luke told us that the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace Workshop had concluded very successfully as had the Simulcast Seminar on Saturday featuring Dave Ramsey also. Marv Krieger congratulated Jim Nepple on his recent Boy Scout Leadership Award... it was worth $5. Mike Ruby was jumping for joy proclaiming a RED Letter DAY announcing that curbside recycling had arrived this week in Muscatine!! Rick Ray reminded us that the Salvation Army Annual Dinner is coming soon and that the Veggie Tales writer Bill Fisher will be the keynote speaker. Bill is from Muscatine. Rich Dwyer humorously noted that his grocery bill has been cut in half now that Jeremy has moved to the Graettinger's!!

Program: Jeff Miller introduced Jeff Heid, MHS Band Director who introduced the Clarinet Family of players. The Clarinet Choir is a student led group that provided an excellent repetoire of music to us. Miguel Rangel, MHS Senior and Drum Major also soloed as he entertained us with his beautiful musical piece.

Jeff reminded us that the Will Rogers Follies will play at MHS on April 14, 15 and 16th!!
