Presentation-
The Rotary Clubs of Colorado Endowed Fellowship for Pediatric Mental Health at Children’s Hospital Colorado

Why this project? Children's Hospital Colorado declared a mental health state of emergency as suicide attempts rise. After news broke, the club discovered suicide was the leading cause of death for Colorado’s children and young adults ages 10 to 24.

Across the nation, one in five children is living with a mental health disorder, but less than 50% of these kids will ever receive the appropriate treatment. The goal was to raise $500,000 by 9/30/23.

The Rotary Clubs of Colorado Endowed Fellowship for Pediatric Mental Health can make an everlasting significant impact. Through club and individual donors, the club raised $530K. The endowment agreement was finalized with the Children’s Hospital Colorado in September 2023. The first Rotarian fellow was named on July 1, 2024.

A cohort of Rotary Fellows will bolster our state’s ability to provide needed pediatric mental health services into perpetuity.
