Karen Cooney- Cultural Alliance Celebration at the Merrill Hotel this Friday at 11:30am. The event serves as a fundraiser and awareness event for the organizations that make up the Cultural Alliance. Lisa Heckman- The Habitat for Humanity house was completed last Friday. Everyone is invited to the dedication ceremony on Saturday. The family is ready to move in. Clint Christopher- Clint celebrated a milestone birthday with a wonderful family trip to Kentucky. Lindsey Phillips- Welcome Tye Male, the new pastor at Mulford Church. Tye is looking for ways to connect with our community. Over the weekend Lindsey and her family tore out their garden and her kids made $27 selling the harvest. Megan Francis- Crossroads is recruiting volunteers for iLLUMINATE. Nightly volunteers are needed to collect donations, direct traffic, and count cars. Follow Crossroads' Facebook page for more information. Mike Ruby- Gretchen Nollman was nominated to be District Governor for the 27/28 Rotary year.

The Muscatine Veterans Network aims to connect Veterans with jobs and resources. When you leave the military you feel like you lose your tribe and purpose. The Veterans Network aims to restore purpose and connections through monthly networking events. Everyone is invited to the next event on November 21st, 2024 at Contrary Brewing from 5:30pm-8:30pm.
Iowa supports the Defense Department's SkillBridge Program, which helps transitioning military members find skilled jobs in the workforce. Large and small businesses interested in learning more about the SkillBridge program can contact IowaWorks.
