Presentation-
Katie Hammond- Muscatine County Conservation

Deep Lakes Park is a Muscatine treasure, providing recreation for all to enjoy. The main access to Deep Lakes Park is at Lake Chester on Pettibone. Deep Lakes Park is a 435 Acre County Park created from a former gravel quarry. The land was donated by W.G. Block in 2012 & 2013 and includes numerous small lakes, ponds, dunes, and grassy/brushy areas. There is more to Deep Lakes than people realize including,
  • 120 acres of clear, deep lakes
  • 10 Parking lots for access
  • 4 Reservable Cabins
  • 2 Boat Landings
  • 1 Accessible Fishing Dock
  • Swimming Beach
  • Small picnic pavilion
  • 1.4-mile hard-surfaced trail
The planning continues to grow the area and the amenities to include, a full full-service campground, additional cabins, maintenance building for staff, picnic shelter, more trail connections, additional access for people, and continue to improve fisheries.
