Jessica Pfab- Happy to have Brooke Cole here as a guest after connecting at an event in Coralville. Brook is with Retirement Resource Group. Mike Ruby- Had a wonderful vacation in Branson. Sorry to report that Former DG Bill Tubbs is in the hospital and not doing well. We send thoughts to his family during this difficult time. For years Mike has written a series of articles named Ruby’s Reflections for local papers. Compiled several of his favorite articles into a self-published book on sale for $10/each. Marc Hines- Crossroads FestivALL is this Saturday from 1-7 pm on West Second Street, at the corner of Second and Pine. The event features three bands, carnival games, a silent auction, and free beer. We hope you will join us.
 
Paul Harris Recognition- Marc Hines was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow for his significant contributions to the club.

Goodwill Mission- We help people reach their full potential through education, training, and the power of work.
Many people don’t realize that Goodwill helps everyone including the homeless, unemployed and underemployed, veterans, and those previously incarcerated.
The Goodwill was Founded nationally in 1902 in Boston by an Iowa native & Cornell College Alum, and founded locally in 1965. Goodwill Heartland Enterprises was founded in 2013 to create jobs and training opportunities for people with disabilities through the AbilityOne program. Heartland Goodwill Enterprises (HGE) packages soy oil in 4L cans for the USDA and USAID to support an international food aid program. More than 25 people have been employed/trained at the oil packaging plant since its launch in 2020.
The Helms Career Center has computer and internet access, digital skills training, job search assistance, resumes, applications, interviews, career fair opportunities, and workforce skills.
The Goodwill offers the following Google Carrer Certificates:  IT Support Professional, Automation with Python, UX Web Design, Cyber security, and Digital Marketing & E-Commerce.
