Presentation-
Leadership Muscatine- Anne Burnham (GPC) & Susan Ridel (Bayer)
Following a brainstorming session, Anne and Susan focused on the childcare issue due to their shared experiences with the challenges it presents. While their families can adjust their schedules when daycares unexpectedly close, they recognize that many families lack this flexibility.
A significant challenge for daycare facilities is that 80% of their revenue is allocated to payroll, with wages and benefits being crucial for attracting and retaining good employees. The childcare issue is, therefore, more about labor shortages than availability.
To raise awareness, Anne and Susan collaborated with the MCC video design department to create a video. We ask everyone to share this video with decision-makers to highlight the issue and keep the discussion active until a solution is found.
Keep the conversation going, share this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjO52yF8zs4.
