Happy News/Announcements:  All Happy News funds go towards our scholarship awards.
Erika Cox- Thank you to Megan for coordinating the Almost Friday Fest food tent. Thanks to Eric Thompson and Marc Hines for working the grill on a hot night. Thank you to Frank Iliff, Mike Ruby, and Mark Roberts for working on the tent. Encourage more to get involved. Mike Ruby- Happy to have District Governor Steve Wieneke and his wife Brenda join us today. Megan Francis- This week is Thanksgiving in July. Food Drive to fill the local food pantries. Crossroads is a collection site. Please consider dropping off a donation, or there is still time to organize an office food drive.

  • Another nice night at Almost Friday Fest. We doubled our proceeds. The next Almost Friday Fest is Thursday, August 25th.

            District Governor: Steve Wieneke and Brenda Wieneke
Rotary Vision Statement: Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe in our communities and in ourselves. Rotary International priority goals: 1. Increase our impacts, 2. Expand our reach, 3. Enhance participant engagement 4. Increase our ability to adapt. Celebrate Community the week of September 11-17 by coordinating a meeting or project with other local service clubs, Lions, Kiwanis, and Optimus. Together we are Stronger.
What strategies can be used this year to engage members? Socials or satellite clubs? Encourage members to learn more about Rotary by attending Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI). Continue efforts with the Rotary Foundation and Polio Eradication.
Upcoming Dates: Everyone is invited to attend the Foundation Dinner. Friday, Oct 21st at the Sheraton in West Des Moines, or Friday, Oct. 28th, right here at the Rendezvous in Muscatine.
Regional District Conference: April 15th in Carrol, April 22nd in Coralville, and April 29th in West Des Moines.
