John got a job at the Duane Arnold Energy Center while he worked on his future business plans, through his outreach with the Energy Center he was introduces to the Des Moines Business Record and thought why is there not something like this is Cedar Rapids/Iowa City?  After working on the business plan for a business journal he convinced his wife that he should leave his job to start this venture.  Corridor Business Journal launched in 2004, became profitable in 2007, and over the years have survived the Great Recession, The great Floods of 2008, survived the complete transformation of the Media industry, and now surviving the Pandemic.

They will be holding 5 events in the Quad Cities Market this coming year.  John was first approached to start a publication in the QCA in 2008, and when approached again this past year felt the timing might be right to launch the new publication.
