Club News: We are starting A Super Bowl Square Fundraiser. Squares are $20 each and can be purchased at club meetings, by mailing a check to Rotary Club of Muscatine, P.O. Box 1121, Muscatine, IA 52761, or contact Megan: Mfrancis@muscatinevision2020.org for other payment options. Squares will be randomly generated following our February 7th Club Meeting and payouts awarded at the Feb 14th Club Meeting. * Payout for team scores at end of 1st (10%), 2nd (10%) & 3rd (10%) Quarters and Final Score (20%), 50% of the proceeds will benefit our Rotary Club.
Paul Harris Presentation: Tony Joseph received a Paul Harris +5 for his generous giving to the Rotary Foundation. Tony has been a Rotarian for over 20 years. Tony originally joined to meet other business leaders in the area and has continued with the club as an important way to give back to the community. Tony feels that locally and internationally the work of Rotary fits with the Vision of his vision for Joseph International Freight.
Presentation: Clint Christopher- Update of Muscatine Community School District
Clint Christopher has now been with the School District a year and a half. Clint Grew up in Eldridge and went to North Scott, then went on to Luther College, was able to come back and teach and coach for a number of years at North Scott. Clint then worked in Moline for 10 years and Minnesota for 6 years before returning to Iowa. Clint has 3 daughters and observing their personalities and learning styles has really shaped his philosophy that everyone has an individual style of learning, and we need to be accommodating more than just one kind of learning instead of everyone learning the same thing, in the same way, at the same time.
