Happy News/Announcements:  John Kuhl happy his family is here for the gavel passing, and Thanks to Fitz for the invocation prayer. Mike Ruby- Thankful for the time recently spent with family.
 
Program:  Presidential Gavel Passing
Remarks from Outgoing president Rick Gosney- It has been an honor to be president.  Thank you to Jess Wittman for helping with the transition and navigating an unusual year.  Thank you to outgoing board members: Bobbie Holliday and Kim Warren.  A year in Review: Challenging Virtual year but able to complete a number of accomplishments. *Rotary Masks to members and community members. *Completed Community Grant and provided HR monitors for the High School fitness classes.  *Funds given to: Operation Warm Coats and the Community Foundation Covid Relief fund.  *Service in action: United Way day of caring, Rebuild Together ramp project, Blood Drive with Lulac.  *Awarded 5 scholarships. *Through club vote- donated additional funds to MCSA and Community Foundation. *Return to Hybrid meetings May 10th and continue to offer a Hybrid option.  Presidential Oath and Gavel Passing.
Remarks by John Kuhl- Thank you to Bobbie for 4 years on board and 3 years as secretary, Thank you Kim Warren for 5 years as Treasurer. Thank you Rick for leadership in the past year.  Where many service clubs have not made it through the last year we have and are happy to have everyone together. Thank you to Jess for her hard work on the Anniversary and keeping us together during start of pandemic.  New Rotary International President is Shekhar Mehata- Theme for year is Serve to Change Lives. President Mehata pushes us to Do More and Grow More.  District 6000 President is Alka Khanolkar, challenges to serve with an open mind and open heart.  Goal for Rotary Club of Muscatine is to return to normal and move to better.  Concept to grow the club: Each one Bring One.  Help us reconnect with past businesses and invite friends and neighbors to join us.  Entering 102nd year, need to build a post Covid foundation emerging better than before.
