Happy News/Announcements:  Rick Gosney was happy to let us know that our fellow Rotarian Sarah Lande will be receiving the 2020 International Impact Award from the University of Iowa.  Congratulations Sarah.  Bobbie Holliday was happy that her son is set to graduate December 4th from the Physicians Assistant Program at Iowa.  Rick Gosney let us know that effective today he is now at the downtown Davenport branch of CBI - but he is still going to continue to be our President - thanks Rick.  Rick Gosney also let us know that Dr. Nadkarni is planning to move to Florida in December - she will be missed.  
 
Club Business:  Order forms for the Holiday Flower Fundraiser will be coming out soon - keep a look out in your e-mail.  Orders will need to be placed by December 7th.  There will be a board meeting after today's meeting.  2nd reading for Cheryl Plank and Clint Christopher - incoming new members.  And 3rd reading for Rebecca Paulsen.  
 
Program:  Our program was our very own Rotarian - Greg Bock from the Salvation Army.  Greg and his wife Liz came to Muscatine's Salvation Army in June of 2019.  Prior to Muscatine, they were in Cheboygan, MI for 6 years.  The Salvation Army is in over 130 countries.  Has 14,528 Corps, outposts world wide.  26,753 officers, 112,203 employees, 1,212,181 soldiers/members, 30 hospitals, 495 homeless hostels, 29 maternity hospitals, 232 children's homes and more.  "Providing hope to the greater Muscatine area since 1892."  Muscatine Salvation Army offers after school programs for K-6th grade and summer day camps.  In 2019 - 4,484 people were served in the Muscatine area and 30 families were served through 'Pathway of Hope'.  Covid 19 response report - 5906 food boxes have been given out in Muscatine County, each box equals 20 meals.  "Thankfully good people happen to bad things."  Emotional and spiritual hotline 877-220-4195.  2020 Red Kettle Campaign goal is $190,000 - "Rescue Christmas".  www.donate.saheartland.org/helpinghope.  Every $ donated in the Red Kettle stays in Muscatine County.  Donations are expected to be lower this year.  If you can, please donate.  Checks can be sent directly to Muscatine Salvation Army.  Thank you  - Greg.
