Recap from the December 16, 2019 Club Meeting:
Happy News: The microphone was passed around to all the tables and much happy news was shared. News ranged from Hawkeyes winning to upcoming family plans and gatherings for the holidays. All happy $ was put into the red kettles that were the center pieces on all the tables in support of our program.
Cowbell Ringing: Jessica Wittman rang the bell in acknowledgement of her being at the halfway mark of her presidency of our club. It was also the last Rotary meeting of 2019. Our club raised $1625 for the Salvation Army and also received the anonymous match for $1000 - for a total of $2625.

Program: Lieutenant Greg Bock from the Salvation Army of Muscatine County. The Salvation Army, founded in London in 1865, is a human service organization designed to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals, families, and communities. The Salvation Army started in Muscatine in 1892. During the past 127 years, approximately six generations of Iowans have received support from the Salvation Army. Since 1892, there have been 160 officers in Muscatine. 1,000 children will get toys and food this Christmas season from Salvation Army of Muscatine County. All donations stay in Muscatine County. The Red Kettle goal this year is $180,000, they are at $46,000. Greg Bock will be getting in the giant 7.5 foot Red Kettle at Hy-Vee on Wednesday, December 18th - to help raise $$ for the Red Kettle campaign.
