Recap from the July 1, 2019 Club Meeting: 
Happy News:  Marv Krieger shared his opinion on not throwing out restaurant leftovers but finding a way to feed people with that food rather than put it in the new city burner for recycling as a fuel. Stating that we have our priorities mixed up.  Megan Francis enjoyed "The Emperor's New Clothes production and the Ice Cream Social. Melanie Alexander thanked everyone for another great Ice Cream Social at the Art Center.
 
Shane reminded us that the next quarterly billing is out and that we can pay easily pay online. 
 
Program: Shane provided an overview of his year as President by sharing the highlights including: Rotary Reunion, Chuck Long, evening Rotary, meeting with the Lions and Kiwanis, being on the Mayor's show, and hoping to reinvigorate our Youth Exchange Program.  He enjoyed his year!!
Rotarians voted on the official slate of officers for the upcoming year. Motion made by Paul Fitzpatrick and seconded by Diana Gradert with all ayes.
 
Jessica Wittman, incoming President thanked Shane for his year of service and presented him with a certificate, gift card and cupcakes!!  Jessica then started her year by  aligining her goals for the year with "Rotary Connects the World" and the International President's goals including:  
1.  Grow (in service, membership and projects)
2.  Family include them through joining at meetings or in service
3.  Rotary Ladder  don't make it hard to climb.
4.  Rotary relationship with the United Nations.
5.  Celebrate   ring the cowbell when something good happens, 
Shane had a great conclusion to his year and Jess began hers with the sound of cowbells and their meaning, as she played a short video from Saturday Night Live!
