Happy NewsGreg Jenkins is pleased to be home from his great and long motorcycle trip. Mike Ruby says the Bike project continues with the support of the Boone Club who gave away free watermelons to RAGBRAI Riders and asked for donations. They got over a $1000!! Sal LoBianco is happy son Tom's Eagle Scout Project is complete with a new gazebo in the Weed Park Rose Garden. Keith Porter is happy that the Stanley Foundation's meetings were very successful last week in Kansas City.  Scott Ingstad is celebrating his 46th Wedding Anniversary today!!  Jeremy Pickard is happy MCC classes are starting again!! In 2019 MCC will celebrate it's 90th anniversary!!  Anyone wanting to help a Rotarian who is boating on the River and needs a place to stay should contact Jess!!
 
Jess announced birthday greetings to Mark Hansen, Kevin Mathis, Steve Bradford, and Jerry Riibe!!  Congrats to Larry Hetzler for 34 years in Rotary!!  Jeremy Pickard is celelbrating 1 year in Rotary!!
 
Program:  Greg Jenkins presented the program on the Rebranding Process and new logo.  Mayor Diana Broderson introduced Greg and gave a bit of information on the new brand committee partners.  Greg stressed that the brand is intended to help recruit persons to live and work in Muscatine. There are 10,000  persons working in Muscatine who live somewhere else.  There are 5600  who leave Muscatine to work somewhere else and there are 9000  who live and work here.  North Star Destinations was hired to conduct the research and the process to select a new brand.  Over 1000 persons took the community survey and there were several focus groups that provided feedback.  The selected brand is"Where the River Takes a Turn for the Better."  The city, the chamber and the Convention and Visitor's Bureau are working on implementing the brand and selecting appropriate logos.  Greg showed a variety of ways to use the Brand within existing entities' current brand.
