Program: Jessica Wittman introduced Angela Villhauer who presented an informative program on Affordable HealthCare.  It's a topic everyone has an interest in.  It is getting more expensive. A family plan can cost $19,000 a year.   Overdosing is the number one cause of Accidental Death.  45% of the population has a Chronic Illness, 1 in 5 have Mental Health issues and 1/3 of the spending is in waste or ineffective care. 6/10 back surgeries are unnecessary. Quality is not always delivered and the current system is unsustainable in the future.  Health Care is difficult to manage.  We access it in many ways:   at home, in the workplace, through providers, Health plans and financially.  Healthy employees are much more productive.  We need to be engaged in our health care. Health Insurance depends on how it is delivered, the health of the workforce, the program design and if we understand the delivery infrastructure.  We need to ask for more transparency to better understand what we are getting!!
