Happy News: Mike Ruby has completed his 66th Rotary Club Visit completing 8,955 miles across Iowa!! Kim Warren is pleased that Student Day of Caring is happening today with over 1000 students participating!! Alan Ostergren is excited to be nominated for U.S. Attorney. Rich Dwyer is inviting all to Kent to congratulate Senator Grassley on his award. Jessica Wittman is proud of her friend Dr. Jerad Nelson for running well in the Boston Marathon. Paul Fitzpatrick is proud of his grandson in helping his mom with a burst appendix!
Club Business: Naomi DeWinter reminded us of the Tornado Relief Project with MCC, Rotary and the Community Foundation. Jobs include selling tickets, eating and cleanup!  Judi reminded us of the District Conference from May 4-6 and also that member John Kuhl is joining the Board!! Congrats!!
 
Program: Christel Fowler and Jenni Paetz shared the therapeudic Riding for Success program located at the Ag Learning Center. Both former teachers and horse lovers have achieved the PATH certification necessary to run a therapeudic riding program. The program is seasonal during the Spring and Fall and is in it's second year with clients ranging in age from 6-60! Scholarships are available for students taking the 6 week session at a cost of $30 per session. Currently the program is available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30-6:30 pm and Thursday mornings at 9:00 am. Christel and Jenni visited a variety of programs and have seen them in the backyard to the Budweiser Farm!!
