Happy News: Diana Gradert is happy to be a great grandma!! Charla Schafer is pleased with the number of attendees for the Poverty workshops last week and the great Domestic Violence Fundraiser event! Karen Diercks is pleased we have a community symphony! Dawn Sturms Dodds is proud that her daughter made the MHS pom squad! Erika Cox was proud of her daughter who also got selected for the MHS pom squad. And Erika is inviting us to learn about our"fiber to the home" project and implementation. Mike Frye is proud of his granddaughter for winning in tennis at Assumption! Caitlyn Ryan is happy that Taylor's Market is now open and Spring Planting is happening!!
 
Club Business: Kim Warren, Treasurer discussed the quarterly annual for the next 3 year's dues increases of $1 per quarter or $12 over the 3 year's. Paul Fitzpatrick told the in's and out's of grant writing and securing from Rotary! Reminder also that MCC Culinary Arts Program, Rotary and the Community Foundation are sponsoring a pasta bar for Tornado Relief on May 1 at the Button Factory Woodfire Grill. We will award 5 scholarships to MHS Seniors. Erika also discussed the Club Runner App which puts the Rotary Directory, member names, emails, and phone numbers at your fingertips!!
 
Program: Rich Dwyer honored Dick Stanley with a Paul Harris recognition at the Ruby Level. Rich read a lovely biographical piece about Dick. We are humbled to know Richard Stanley, as a Rotarian!!  Stephanie Metnick, Megan Francis and Ken Brooks were inducted into membership. Stephanie's sponsor is Charla Schafer, Megan Francis's sponor is Caitlyn Ryan and Ken is sponsored by Diana Gradert and is transferring from Davenport Rotary!!
