Guests and Happy News: Angela Joseph and Moses Nagamootoo were guests of Tony Joseph. Rick Gosney was proud of the Hawkeyes. Tony Joseph was pleased that his son's soccer team won in Kansas City. Scott Ingstad was happy for the Cubs, Trump and the Hawkeyes. Jessica Wittman was happy that the Rotary Banner was in the Bodyguard. Harvey Allbee is proud of the Hawkeyes. Karen Diercks was pleased with the Downtown Open House and her granddaughter's Opus Group selection and nomination to All State Choir. Nathan Mather was happy for the Hawkeyes and for his election support and success. Naomi DeWinter shared news about MCSA and MCC having a Socks and Soup Lunch on Friday. Tim Nelson is a proud Dad, since his son flew President Bush and Laura along with Joe Crookham and his wife to a meeting via the Musco plane.

Program: Terry Geiger presented an informative program on the work and scope of the Rotary Foundation. He said we should be very proud to have Mike Ruby from our club, selected to be the next District Governor.  The Rotary Foundation was begun in 1917 with a vision by Arch Klumph to "do good in the world".  A $26.50 donation began the Foundation which now has expended over $3 Billion dollars for humanitarian efforts in the world.  He discussed our club's contributions and the impact of the $$ given to rid the world of polio. He explained the various funds within the foundation and talked about the grants available from them.
