Program: Greg Jenkins gave an update on Muscatine's RAGBRAI preparations.  It is and will be a lot of fun but it also takes a lot of organization.  This is the 44th RAGBRAI going from 30 riders in 1973 to an expected 16,000 riders.  There will be about 20,000 visitors to Muscatine.  We will need about 200-300 volunteers to manage all the different activities of the ride into Muscatine!!  It all begins on July 22  with an expected 800-1000 riders leaving cars here and climbing onto charters to roll across the state to begin the race.  Muscatine High School will serve as the parking lot. July 30 is the big day when the riders will conclude their weeklong trek and dip their tires in the Mississippi River here!!

We will be celebrating Great River Days at the far end of the riverfront and the RAGBRAI activities going from Hershey to Cedar Street.  The theme this year is Muscle Down to Mussel Town.  Greg gave kudos to Janet Morrow for being the community lead on the festivities and for getting everything organized!!
