Rotary Update: We are looking for a new Treasurer for our club and also a new Director for the Board. If you are interested see a Board Member. We are also looking for a New Committee Chair for the 3.0 Senior Luncheon. Potential new member Kim Warren was the guest of Shane Orr.  Sydney Cox daughter of Erika Cox came to hear the program today. 
Club News and Happy News:  Judi told us that the Community Foundation will be hosting a Derby Day Fundraiser on May 7, 2016.  Judi, Todd and Mike all attended PETS training and learned a lot about Rotary and becoming the President. Bob Jensen is celebrating the 30th anniversary of TEMP Associates this year. His firm celebrated together in Vegas this weekend and came home in fog, making Bob worry about landing safely in Cedar Rapids!! Tony Joseph is happy that the Chinese Symphony was a big success, Janet Morrow is proud that her daughter Macy's team finished second in the MHS Senior Survivor, Janet also reminded us to vote for Taco Tom for Volunteer of the Year for the State of Iowa.  Karen Diercks is proud of the music program in the Muscatine School District!
 
Program: Deb Bowen was introduced by Andrew Anderson for her program "A Book by ME".  Deb was born in Muscatine and is the proud mother of 6 children.  She has found her calling and great interest in helping youth 18 years and younger to interview survivors of the Holocaust, Human Rights persons and Heroes.  The interviews lead to retelling of the life story of the interviewee. Students write and illustrate the stories.  The books produced are being used in schools and Deb is looking for statewide distribution.  Deb's website is "A Book by Me.com.  Deb is passionate and enjoys keeping these life stories alive.
