Happy News: Scott Ingstad is happy that the Kansas City Royals are competing again and that Todd is the substitute President for today!!  Mike Ruby shared that he had participated in the Rotary Leadership Insitute Course in Des Moines.  The course will be offered in Iowa City in February and is a great workshop on Rotary!! Cost will be $85.

 

Keith Porter updated the club on Ron Yohe's health. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he undergoes radiation to shrink a brain tumor.

 

Program: Rotarian Cath Hahn gave an update on the RYLA Summer Camp.  The students had a great time and learned a lot about themselves in regard to their particular leadership style.  There were over 300 persons involved in the week long event. The ratio of students to adults was 1-13 with persons like Cath Hahn supporting the group counselor. Macy Morrow, Emily and Jane from East Campus participated. Cath took away the complexity of life for teenagers today! She encouraged Rotarians to experience next year's camp!!
