Rotary News: Chris Boar guest of Shawn Schrader from Monsanto. Tony Joseph thanked Keith, the Board and the officers  for their support this past year. He then shared highlights of his year as President.  Tony passed the gavel to Mary Odell incoming President. She then asked the tables to discuss how we can make our Rotary Club better.
 
Happy News: Keith Porter happy his daughter got married. Proud of Chris Steinbach who helped get a boy out of a tree ...service above self. Karen Diercks was happy about the July 4th Kids First Breakfast. David Stanley was pleased with the 4th of July Symphony on the riverfront.
 
Program: Chris Steinbach introduced Shawn Schrader who gave an informative program on GMO's Safety and Benefits. GMO's are important to support population growth, changing climates, declining land space, and changing diets.  Genetically modified crops are covering 4 billion acres. GMO's have been stuied by the USDA, EPA, FDA and have been researched for over 13 years to ensure safety.  GMO's will help us meet the food needs of the future.
