Presentation-
Mark Roberts- MPW

The presentation provided an overview of current U.S. energy markets, focusing on rising electricity demand, changes in the generation mix, and increasing pressure on the transmission system. Growth in data centers and electrification is driving higher energy use, while the retirement of the older generation and expansion of renewable energy are shifting how power is produced and delivered. Transmission needs are growing, with large-scale investments required to support this evolving system, which is expected to increase costs over time. Global factors, including conflict in Iran, have influenced fuel prices, though the U.S. remains somewhat insulated. Locally, strong generation assets position utilities well, but increasing transmission costs are likely to impact future pricing.
