Presentation-
Nick Gow- Assistant Director Parks and Recreation
As former Mayor Dick O'Brien once said, “Good things are happening in Muscatine,” and the MUSCO Sports Center is a great example. What began as a small group conversation in 2010 has grown into Iowa’s largest sports dome. The land, donated by KENT Corporation, was first developed into training fields with a long-term vision for an indoor facility.
Originally estimated at $4 million, the final $8 million project includes a video scoreboard, six pickleball and volleyball courts, and a full-service concession stand. Through a partnership with MPW, the facility is also the only fully temperature-controlled sports dome in Iowa.
The Sports Center supports health and wellness while also driving economic impact, regularly hosting tournaments that bring teams to Muscatine and support local hotels and businesses. New membership options and programming continue to expand.
