Happy News/Announcements:  All Happy News funds go towards our scholarship awards.
Mike Wedell – Mike will be available in the new genealogy room at the Library on Wednesday from 6-8 pm to answer questions and assist people with searches.
Chuck Moody- $2 for 2/2, otherwise known as Groundhog Day or Woodchuck Day. Today also happens to be Chuck’s 80th Birthday.
Lindsey Phillips- After wrestling and basketball wrap up this week, the Phillips family will be a one-sport family. Baseball season is around the corner, which also means spring is on the way.
 
Club Business:
  • Hancher Ticket Raffle- 2 Tickets to Beetlejuice at Hancher will be raffled to raise money for scholarships and student leadership opportunities like RYLA and the World Affairs Conference. Tickets are available for purchase from February 2 to March 2, for $20 each or 6 for $100. Flyers are available at meetings and will be distributed via email.
  • March Social- Join us at the Creek for a wine tasting social event on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 4:30-6:30. This is a perfect event to invite a prospective member to meet club members.
  • Remember the Rotary Foundation when you consider giving to organizations. The Foundation supports local and international service projects. You can give through ACH or check. Talk to Lindsey for more information.
  • Gretchen Nolman will lead monthly ClubRunner training on the 3rd Monday at 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm. Training will be held on Zoom for anyone interested in learning more about ClubRunner.
  • Follow the Rotary Club of Muscatine’s Facebook page, @MuscatineRotaryClub.
  • We are looking for members to join the board. This is a great opportunity to get involved and give back.

Carver Pump Company is a proud Muscatine-based business with more than 85 years of history. Founded in 1937 by Roy J. Carver Sr. In 1938, the company moved from Matherville, IL, to Muscatine during World War II to support the war effort by producing self-priming fuel pumps for the U.S. Army. Today, Carver Pump remains family-owned and is led by third-generation owner Andy Carver. The company employs 130 people and is continuing to grow with a major expansion planned for 2026, adding new testing space, storage, and more than 28,000 square feet to its facility. Carver Pump operates over 25 CNC machining centers and works with materials ranging from cast iron to titanium, serving both commercial and military needs.
