Megan Francis: Exciting 49er win. Happy to share UnityPoint updates. We welcomed Dr. Eddie, a gastroenterologist with Digestive Disease Specialists. He had his first surgical day in Muscatine on December 30. We also now have a partnership for tele-nephrology consults in the Emergency Department and ACU. This increases access to specialty care close to home.
Naomi DeWinter: Naomi and Carolyn continue to share information about human trafficking during this month of awareness. They presented at Kiwanis last week. Naomi shared 2024 Iowa data: the Department of Public Safety received 104 tips and leads; the Iowa Victim Service Call Center received 208 calls; the Family Resources Hotline received 339 crisis calls related to human trafficking; and the National Human Trafficking Hotline received 166 calls for Iowa. We need to continue our education efforts.
Club Business:
- Remember the Rotary Foundation when you consider giving to an organization. The Foundation supports local and international service projects. You can give through ACH or check. Talk to Lindsey for more information.
- Gretchen Nolman will lead monthly ClubRunner training on the 3rd Monday at 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm starting on January 19. Training will be held on Zoom for anyone interested in learning more about ClubRunner.
- Follow the Rotary Club of Muscatine’s Facebook page, @MuscatineRotaryClub.
- We are looking for members to join the board. This is a great opportunity to get involved and give back.

Mark Roberts- Membership Survey Review
We recently conducted a membership survey to gather feedback on satisfaction, meeting time and location, and program presentations. Thirteen members responded. We also reviewed membership trends over the past 10 years. President Mark Roberts shared the findings and led a discussion on club membership.
