Mike Ruby- Thankful for a non-treatment week. 3 treatments done, 9 to go. On another note, we are on the cusp of uncertain times for many in our community. With the expected increase in food demand this month, the Salvation Army food pantry shelves are empty, but the parking lot is full of people in need. Please consider a donation to a local food pantry. Megan Francis- UnityPoint is seeking individuals to serve on the Patient and Family Advisory Committee. Please contact Megan at megan.francis@unitypoint.org if you know anyone interested.

Presentation-
Naomi DeWinter, Charla Schafer, Mya Steines- MCSA

MCSA has been committed to housing stability since 1991. Their work helps individuals and families find stability through housing, prevention, and supportive services. This year, their Men’s and Family Shelters have served 136 households, while the Domestic Violence Shelter has supported 28 households and handled 166 crisis calls, with 67% exiting to safe, permanent housing.

The MCSA Homeless Prevention program has helped 422 people (including 186 children) stay housed, achieving a 96% stability rate. Another 155 individuals (41 children) were supported through Rapid Rehousing, with nearly 89% moving to positive housing outcomes.
Beyond shelter and prevention, MCSA operates permanent supportive housing sites, a food pantry open daily, and collaborates on local mental health and health care programs, including dental and eye clinics. Since 2020, MCSA has received more than $12.6 million in grants, strengthening its mission to provide stability, dignity, and opportunity for Muscatine residents.
