You can make a significant impact on youth in our community by mentoring. There are now four types of mentor relationships. School Based mentoring occurs at our local elementary schools, middle school, and high school. Community Based Mentoring takes advantage of our town and the many offerings and resources available. School Based Plus is the best of both worlds! School-based matches are coordinated through the school, and matches enjoy the freedom of community-based activities. New is 2024 1:1 plus Group mentoring is a unique opportunity to place an adult role model in a child’s life while encouraging positive peer relationships. Our first group mentoring pilot begins in 2024!

Why mentor? Kids need positive role models in their lives. 20% of youth rate their mental health as fair or poor, and over 67% of our youth are in the socioeconomically at-risk category. Anyone can be a mentor. Match specialists work hard to connect Bigs and Littles. Even if you are not ready to become a big today, please share the need for mentors. Other upcoming events to support Big Brothers Big Sisters are coming over the next two months. Bowl for Kids' Sake is an annual fundraiser on Sunday, February 25th, at 2 pm. Event shirt sponsorships are available.
